Cigars International

Spotlighting historic features through adaptive reuse

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Client: Cigars International

Date Completed: 2010

This project involved the adaptive reuse of a c. 1920 dairy barn into a flagship store for Cigars International. In a second phase of the project, Artefact designed and oversaw construction for a new lounge, bar, and storage additions. The client wished to recreate the open space of the original barn to reveal the beautiful timber structure supporting the roof. The timber trusses are now integrated into the main retail space, and shelving niches along the walls and a large counter in the center of the floor help organize the space.
