Artefact was hired to design the adaptive reuse of the Quakertown Trolley Barn complex, constructed in 1897, which has seen a number of commercial uses since the termination of trolley service in the early 1950s. We re-designed the space as a public market, provided design services for several market vendors, and assisted the client in applying for historic tax credits to partially finance the renovation. Today, the Trolley Barn Market is a popular destination for shopping, dining, and recreation.
