Artefact was selected to design exterior renovations and stabilization measures for this 1829 rubble-stone locktender’s house at Lock 44 of the Lehigh Canal in Freemansburg, PA. Work included masonry repairs and partial reinstallation of the historic wood platform, which allowed an ADA ramp to be added for the future use of the House. Working in collaboration with the D&L National Heritage Corridor and the Borough of Freemansburg, we created construction documents and handled construction administration during the renovations.
